Road trip begin

Road Trip Commences with a Yo-yo to Vedauwoo!
The On The Loose Mobile at it's first stop!
After a solid week of midnight and 2AM preparation nights, we finally launched off on this year's tour! Driving the rig up to Vedauwoo for the weekend, we met up with friends for an afternoon of fairy house making, bouldering and an awesome night around the campfire surrounded by the pre-cambrian granite domes of this Wyoming masterpiece.

Fairy Houses!
Joined by The Rope-gun and his family Saturday morning, we went up to the Land of The Rising Moon crag and Chris beasted his way up Straight and Narrow. This climb felt much harder than it's rated 5.8+, even on toprope! A stellar lead by Chris gave us all a much-needed crack warmup for the season after so much time spent toproping.

Post-climb, with weather impending and friends smartly bailing back home to avoid the deluge and high winds, we decided to head south to chase some warmer temps and pick up a few items we had left at home. So, yes, after one night out, we have retraced our steps and are back at home/base camp in Lafayette. But we are poised to strike out tomorrow morning! (And we did have a good excuse to stop off in Fort Collins for a few pints at New Belgium!!)

See you out there!
